Yayoi Kusama Retrospective Exhibition Tour

Ben Sanattan Anlamam ki Art Tours

About

You are invited to one of the most comprehensive exhibitions of recent years dedicated to Yayoi Kusama, one of the most influential and internationally renowned women artists of the 21st century, whom we recently lost. After being presented at two of Europe’s leading art museums, Fondation Beyeler and Museum Ludwig, over the past year, the exhibition now arrives at its third venue: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Bringing together more than 300 works, this extensive exhibition invites us to discover Kusama beyond the iconic polka dots, Infinity Mirror Rooms, and pumpkins we all know, revealing the lesser-known, experimental, and political dimensions of her artistic practice. During this guided tour led by curator and art historian İrem Sezer, founder of Ben Sanattan Anlamam ki (BSAK) Art Tours, we will take a closer look at Kusama’s art and extraordinary world, exploring together the stories, ideas, and activist identity behind her remarkable body of work. This experience is about more than simply visiting an exhibition. We will slow down, reflect on the artworks together, ask questions, exchange ideas, and share the experience of encountering art collectively. Bringing together different periods of Kusama’s long and extraordinary career, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to gain a more complete and nuanced understanding of the artist’s practice. Join us, let's rediscover Kusama together—from the very beginning to infinity.
