How Not To Collect - Launch Event

HOW NOT TO COLLECT We’re very excited to launch How Not To Collect — a new platform exploring the many different ways of collecting art. Collecting is often associated with big budgets, investments, galleries and the established art world. But what if collecting could be something else? We believe there are many ways to collect, and that collecting doesn’t have to be about how much you spend. It can be about curiosity, personal connections, memories, discoveries — and ultimately, creating your own story through art. With How Not To Collect , we want to explore these different ways together. Through studio visits, art fairs, gallery visits, conversations with artists and collectors, and talks with different experts from the art world, we’ll look at how we can approach, understand and buy art in ways that feel more accessible, personal and meaningful. LAUNCH GATHERING — 23 OCTOBER To celebrate the launch, we’re gathering at BARESPACE on 23 October for an informal evening where we’ll introduce How Not To Collect, talk about accessible and affordable ways of collecting, and share what we have planned for the programme ahead. And, of course, there will be drinks and snacks. The event is free , but registration is required. Come curious, whether you already collect art, are thinking about starting, or simply have no idea where to begin.
